The Social Network

I went to see The Social Network the other night and I can see exactly why there is so much Oscar buzz surrounding it. The two leads Jesse Eisenberg (super geek crush) and Andrew Garfield are fantastic as Mark Zuckerberg and Eduardo Saverin, and the support cast is just as good.

Rooney Mara as Erica Albright, gives a taster of what’s to come when she takes the lead role of Lisbeth in the remake of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, starring alongside Daniel Craig. I find it interesting when unknowns are cast as leads, as you have no idea what to expect from them or any precedence to go by but I have a feeling she will be a rising star.

Armie Hammer, oh Armie Hammer how I love you (just a little) your dulcet tones and striking frame make you verrry dishy. Plus you have been in Gossip Girl which is always a good thing.

As I mentioned in The new Spider Man I was unsure of Andrew Garfield, but as always I am fickle in the world of film and turns out he stole the show. As Eduardo he totally got the audience’s sympathy as the guy that got taken for a ride and you feel really sorry for him, and he was totally cute in it too. Although he still is going to have to bulk up for Spider Man as his hair is like the width of his whole body.

And then we come to Him. Yes you know who I’m talking about. Justin Timberlake. The music god, the sexy bachelor (Urgh I forgot about Biel), the switch to acting has been smooth as hell, and his performance in Alpha Dog is still one of his best to date. I just assumed he would be in the movie from the start due to all the press tours with him touted as one of the leads, so  I was surprised that he didn’t appear until at least 3/4 of the way through, still it was worth the wait to see him portray co-founder of Napster Sean Parker.

Everyone always seem to ask JT, when are you going to release a new album? He always seems to reply with “I will, just not yet”, but I can wait as I know it will be frickin’ awesome when he does. Until then I leave you with a list of my Top 10 (started out as Top 5 but it was too hard) Justin Timberlake Tracks, because come on, who doesn’t like a bit of Sexy Back?
