Edgy cutout

I would like these jeans please. Obviously first I would need to lose a few stone to get super-skinny legs so they would look good but I like the cute cut-out detail. It’s edgy but not tacky like some cutout detailing I’ve seen recently, some high-street stores seem to be going overboard on the trend. These jeans sported by the lovely Rosie Huntington-Whiteley look great as she’s wearing them, I’m a tiny bit iffy on the boots and I heart the bag.

Top Knots

According to Glamour Top Knots are the “DO of the season” (see how they did that, on their dos and don’ts page yeah).

Of course I can’t do this because I have recently short hair, how could I ever manage to scrape it all into a top knot.

Well I’ll have you know I had a brainwave, extensions! I had hair extensions a while ago and I kept them so I could still put them in every no and again, how much fun to be able to  change my hair with a few extra pieces!

I tried it and you know what I champion the top knot, like Glamour says it’s “easy and glam” and boy are they right. When I went out on Wednesday night I didn’t want to get to dressed up and I really couldn’t be bothered to straighten my hair in the heat so voila a fast and simple style that adds a few extra inches in height.

But you have to make sure that the bun is sat right on top of your head otherwise it will look like a “ballerina bun” and then there’s the other problem of a top knot or high ponytail being associated with the term ‘chav’. Eeek, but if you style it right then there’s no chance of that occurring unless someone doesn’t ‘get’ the trend.

I particularly like Gemma Arterton’s version of a top knot, which she sported for the Clash of the Titans film premiere, and it perfectly shows off her angel wing tattoo.

Twilight Saga: Eclipse Film Premiere in Los Angeles

I wish I could have stayed up last night to watch the live screening of the Twilight Saga: Eclipse Premiere, but unfortunately my tired eyes wouldn’t stay awake.

JustJared have got the best pics of what the cast wore, and Kristen Stewart has been impressing everyone lately as she’s travelled the world with Taylor Lautner attending other premieres and fan event. Numerous short dresses and heels Stewart is moving in the right direction, but really we know Summit paid a lot of money to hire the best stylist around for K-Stew as she travels promoting the movie. I really think they should invest more dollars in hiring a better hairdresser, something needs to be done with those greasy locks.

Anyway -Stew went to the LA Premiere in a one-sleeve white embroidered mini dress by Ellie Saab, not the conventional look but it looked good, I think the length suits her legs perfectly anything longer and she starts to look too aged.

Dakota Fanning aka Evil Volturi Vampire Jane, also wore Ellie Saab, a cutesy one-shoulder mini-dress trimmed with feathers. Once again Dakota is wearing something that suits her down to the ground, and she has gotten rid of the girly head piece that she wore to the CDFA’s.

My second favourite outfit of the night, comes from newcomer Bryce Dallas Howard. An unusual pale yellow Christian Dior gown, with frou-frou detailing but adds a little colour amongst the sea of the neutral palette, and looks perfect against her fiery red hair.

My favourite outfit of the night definitely goes to Rob Pattinson, not just because I love him just a little, but because when all guys usually pick a plain black/navy standard suit, he has gone all out in a maroon Gucci suit. It is fitted to with an inch of his lithe body, perfect. And that face well what an accessory.

I’m particularly disappointed in Ashley Greene’s dress, it looks like she is trying to hide a secret pregnancy when we all know she has a ridiculously hot body as pictured on the front cover of US Women’s Health this month. And Nikki Reed has just gone a little over the top trying to be sexxy in her Marchesa dress, when I think a toned down gown would have suited her a little better.

Tay-Tay was there showing off his broad chest and cute button nose in a nice suit, Julia Jones the new werewolf looked good in Marchesa also and slicked back hair, Kellan Lutz showed up with his girlfriend AnnaLynne McCord cementing the rumours that they are a couple. AnnaLynne looked super in a peachy nude Nicole Miller dress, perfect for a date with the boyf, however I’m not so sure about Kellan’s new dark locks I hope it’s for a film role and that he goes back blond soon!!

EH?

I’ve just been checking up on the news/gossip and came across the story that Prince Albert of Monaco is engaged to the beautiful gorgeous blonde former Olympic South African swimmer Charlene Wittstock.

My jaw drops, because I’m looking at the Prince and I have no idea what the attraction is apart from the fact he is royalty and of Monaco at that.

I would never claim to know what their relationship is like, but I just don’t get it. I mean firstly he is 52 years old and has an infamous reputation for being a playboy, this being his first forray into married life. Or an attempt at it because we all know an engagement doesn’t necessarily seal the deal.

He’s managed to date both Brooke Shields and Claudia Schiffer, how that happened I will never know. Maybe it is purely donw to his charming personality.

It must be, because I would not want to wake up to him every morning, regardless of whether I was lying in Egyptian cotton sheets, been waited on hand and foot, living in Monaco with an unlimited bank account… Ahem, well, maybe I would reconsider, you know, if he was available.

The lovely couple

Triplets? Separated at birth?

So I’ve switched from Dawson’s Creek to The O.C at the minute, can’t get enough of the witty humour and those “looks” that convey everything.

I also have just recently started watching a new tv programme that has just aired in the States, called Pretty Little Liars, which is based on a series of books. It’s quite good actually, and the prettier twin from Privileged (cancelled) is in it Lucy Hale.

Now where I’m going with this, it’s like looking in a mirror, well not me personally but Rachel Bilson and Lucy Hale have to be related! And throw in a pinch of the Disney Channel princess Selena Gomez and you have a set of triplets, I kid you not!

Day Thirty – Whatever Tickles Your Fancy

So I’ve decided to clean out my room, doing quite well so far. I’ve found ridiculous amounts of junk that is going into the bin.

Whilst I’ve been doing that I’ve watched the end of Season 3 of Dawson’s Creek which is one of my favourite season finales, where Joey realises she loves Pacey and they sail off into the sunset. Sweet.

I’ve started on The OC now after my box set arrived, I’m just on episode 2, The Model Home, and if anyone knows how Season 3 ends I love how writers connect things. So Marissa arrives at the model home and Ryan is listening to Hallelujah, from the mix cd that Marissa made for him, she says “This song reminds me of you” and even though she has literally only known him for about a week it’s like deja vu.

At the very end as Ryan rescues Marissa from their crashed car and she lies dying in his arms, Hallelujah is playing. And throughout all 3 seasons (cos lets face it Season 4 doesn’t entirely count) there are moments where you see that scene echoed in all others, the first episode Ryan carries an unconscious Marissa from her front porch to his bed, when they go to Tijuana and she overdoses he rescues her from the alleyway she is unconscious in.

The O.C has always about Ryan rescuing Marissa and that’s why Season 4 just wasn’t as good as the others. You can’t remove the person that Ryan’s character exists solely for.

So this post is dedicated to the boys of my favourite television shows. The hero, the geek, the DILF, the best friends, the second fiddle, the leading man, the supporting actor.

The Hero

The Cute Geek

DILF

Best Supporting Actor

The Leading Man

And this concludes my 30-Day Challenge. It’s finally done, and it’s been fun. And I hope everyone has enjoyed reading!
